6.1.7
Main menu - Diskette functions
Opens the window in which you can do the following:
• Update the measured value diskette: closes the current block in the memory and
saves it including the most recently saved values independent of the data quantity
• Completely copy the measured value memory to a diskette
• Read device settings from a diskette
• Save the current device settings to diskette.
Without affecting the internal memory, data packages are copied block-by-block (8
kByte-large blocks) to the diskette. Tests are also made to determine whether the data
has been written onto the data carrier without any errors. The same happens when
storing the data on the PC with the associated PC software.
Note!
• If you update before removing the diskette, the current data block is closed and
saved. This ensures that all current data (until the last save) is included on the
diskette.
• You are informed before the diskette is 100 % full. This is achieved by an
acknowledgeable message in the display, which indicates that the diskette being
written to needs changing. In addition, a relay can be switched.
• Update and read out the diskette before you change the device settings. Reason:
after operating data that affects the contents of the memory is changed, the contents
of the memory is deleted internally and on the diskette and written to with the new
data.
• Your device knows which data has already been copied onto the diskette. Should you
ever forget to change it in time (or if there is no diskette inserted), the new diskette is
filled with the missing data from the internal memory - in as far as it is still available
there.
• Since measured value acquisition/registration has highest priority, it can take some
minutes until the contents of the internal memory is copied onto the diskette.
• If the diskette is being written to, the drive LED lights up. During this process, the
diskette must not be removed.
