9. Preparing metering module for testing

Always heed the vehicle and system-specific information on ESI[tronic].
Attention:
Heed the safety instructions for handling AdBlue. Always drain the system before
opening the AdBlue circuit to avoid the uncontrolled escape of AdBlue. This test always
ends with termination of diagnosis. For further testing, the ignition is therefore to be
switched off and on again.

9.1 Removing vehicle metering module

- Disconnect the metering pipes (1) at the
metering module (2) .
- Unplug the connector (3) at the metering
module.
- Slacken off the bolts (4) and take the
metering module out of the exhaust pipe.
