INSTRUCTION MANUAL PR 1591/00, /10
CAUTION!
Non-linearities of the calibration curve mostly indicate that forces to be weighed
act not only on the load cell(s) but also on constrainers or other mechanical
devices which must be avoided. This should be thoroughly investigated when
necessary.
5.6.4 Setpoint adjustment
Adjusting the setpoints can be performed by means of the potentiometer R 644
( >LIM 1) and R 645 (<LIM 2) respectively between 0 ... 100 % of full scale
deflection.
Adjustment procedure:
- check whether zero point and span have been accurately adjusted,
- connect a volt- or amperemeter to the corresponding output of the Weight
Transmitter and note the scale-end value,
- connect a floating (potential-free) voltmeter between test points
and LIM 1 / LIM 2 (with the positive pole to ground).
- adjust desired setpoints in percentages of the previously noted scale-end
value by means of the corresponding potentiometer >LIM 1 or <LIM 2.
Example:
full scale deflection = 4000 kg = 10 V between terminals 8/9 of block 803.
< LIM 2
> LIM 1
When adjusting, a hysteresis of ±100 mV of the comparator stages must be
taken into account.
The contacts of the setpoint relais are not spark protected.
When controlling inductive components (such as relays) they have to be spark
suppressed as descibed in para. 4.7.3.
= 40 kg
= 100 mV between test points
= 3800 kg = 9.5 V between test points
