The table of fig. 7.1 shows which switch configuration must be set for the
calculated sensitivity. For above result e.g. switches 3,4 and 6 of switch
configuration SB have to be closed.
The multiturn-potentiometer R 609 (SPAN) should be adjusted to its approximate
mid-point position in order to balance out further span changes to within ± 2.5 %
of full scale deflection.
5.3
ALTERATION OF THE CURRENT OUTPUT
If required, the current output can be set for a range of +4 mA up to + 20 mA.
For this the solder link SD 1 must be opened and SD 2 closed instead (see also
fig. 7.7).
5.4
MEASURING VOLTAGE FILTER
Slow fluctuations in the measuring signal, caused for example by slow structural
vibration can be suppressed by means of a two stage active filter, which is
switched on upon delivery.
The limit frequency of the filter is approximately 1 Hz.
By closing the solder link SC 2 and opening SC 1 at the same time, the filter can
be by-passed (see fig. 7.7)
The limit frequency of the instrument will be approx. 630 Hz in this case.
Opening and closing the solder-link SC must only be done with the instrument
switched-off.

MATCHING THE DISPLAY UNIT OF THE PR 1591/10
TO THE SCALE RANGE
The maximum measuring range of the DVM is ±2 V (± 1999).
After delivery of the PR 1591/10, the DVM is calibrated by means of the voltage
dividers R 602/603 (see fig. 7.11) on the additional p.c.b. so that a 10 V output
= 5000 kg = (10 V or 20 mA resp.)
