M O U N T I N G A N D C O N N E C T I O N
4.1
OPENING THE INSTRUMENT
The cover is to be removed by loosening four captive screws A (see fig. 7.3).
Particular care must be taken when removing the cover, because the DVM
embedded in the cover is connected with the main p.c.b. of the weight
transmitter.
Be also careful when re-fitting the cover, since there is only very little space
between the DVM and the main p.c.b.
4.2
MOUNTING
In order to prevent humidity entering via not properly closed cable glands, it is
recommended to mount the instrument preferably in a horizontal position.
It can easily be fixed by using the drilling template provided.
4.3
GENERAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
All terminals are located inside the instrument (see also figs. 7.7 and 7.8)
The cables are to be fed-in via cable glands.
Please note:
Upon delivery the cable glands are not fittet. The blind-caps mounted instead
have to be replaced accordingly. All required cable glands inclusive sealing
rings are parts of the delivery scope.
The terminals used for loadcell and output signal connection work according to
the "Elevator Principle". Before inserting wires, all terminals have to be fully
opened (screws are to be turned anticlockwise).
