S A F E T Y I N S T R U C T I O N S
This apparatus has been designed and tested in accordance with Safety Class I
of the IEC 536 standards , Safety Requirements for Electronic Measuring
Apparatus. It will be supplied in a safe condition.
This manual contains some information and warnings which must be followed by
the user to ensure safe operation and to retain the apparatus in a safe condition.
2.1
INITIAL INSPECTION
Check the contents of the consignment for completeness and note whether any
damage has occurred during transport. If the contents are incomplete, or if there
is a damage, a claim should be filed with the carrier immediately, and the Philips
Sales or Service organization should be notified in order to facilitate the repair or
replacement of the instrument.
2.2
BEFORE COMMISSIONING
2.2.1 General
Before putting the instrument into operation after storage and transport, visually
check it for physical damage.
2.2.2 Mounting
The instrument is should preferably be mounted in horizontal position.
Heat influence, such as direct solar radiation etc., should be avoided. Please,
observe the required environmental conditions as given in the technical data.
2.2.3 Dismantling the instrument
When removing the housing, covers or other protecting parts, live parts or
terminals will be exposed. Note that capacitors may still be charged after
disconnecting the instrument from all voltage sources.
Do not touch components, fuses, or terminals with the instrument beeing
switched on.
