A section through the extension cable PR 6135/.. is shown in the following
figure.
Interconnecting loadcells and extension cable should be done by using the
junction box PR 6130/11.
The connection of loadcells should be performed preferably in 6-wire technique.
However the installation has to be performed as described in para. 4.4. and as
shown in the interconnection example of fig. 7.6.
For loadcell cables with different colour code, consult the respective Directions
for Use.
The wire strands of the cable must be twisted. They should be fixed to the
terminals without them having previously been tinned. Alternatively they may be
fitted with suitable crimp contacts before fixing to the terminals.
The length of extension (measuring) cable between junction box and instrument
depends on the local conditions. The length may be up to 300 m under normal
circumstances.
4.7
INTERFACING THE INSTRUMENT
4.7.1 Voltage output
When adjusting the Weight Transmitter PR 1591/00 and PR 1591/10 according
to the specifications, they supply 10 V with nominal load (= full scale deflection).
Supposing the only voltmeter (remote display) available has a full scale
deflection of less than 10 V, then the output voltage of the Weight Transmitter
should preferably be adapted to the required input value of the voltmeter.
