5.1
ADJUSTMENT TO LOCAL MAINS SUPPLY
Before connecting the instrument to the mains supply, it should be noted that it
has no mains switch and is therefore ready for operation as soon as the supply is
connected to it.
The instrument operates on mains voltages of 110, 128, 220 or 238 V AC and
50/60 Hz. Upon delivery it is set to 220 V AC.
For changing over from 220 V AC to one of the other voltages, refer to figure
below and proceed as follows:

interrupt both phases of the mains connection

solder links in accordance to figure below
-
replace mains fuse (F 809) correspondingly, and correct the
voltage lable positioned underneath the type plate.
5.2
PRESETTING THE SPAN
The measuring voltage obtained from the loadcells is amplified by an input
amplifier. Its gain will be adjusted coarsly by means of the switch configuration
SB and fine with the aid of potentiometer R609 (SPAN).
When adjusted according to the specifications the Weight Transmitter supply
10 V or +20 mA respectively at full scale deflection.
The adjustment facilities are shown in fig. 7.7.
Coarse SPAN-adjustment mainly depends on the effective sensitivity of the
loadcell (configuration), which can be calculated as follows:
effective sensitivity [mV/V] = --------------------------------------------------------------------
full scale deflection x sensitivity of one loadcell
number of loadcells x nominal load of one loadcell
