Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery for the appliance is shown on the
packaging. Check the contents for completeness when
unpacking. If any accessories are missing or in the
event of any shipping damage, please notify your deal-
er.
Safety devices
CAUTION
Missing or modified safety devices
Safety devices are provided for your own protection.
Never modify or bypass safety devices.
Blade guard
The blade guard is an important safety device of the
grass and shrub shears. Do not use the blade guard if it
is damaged, but rather replace it immediately.
Unlocking button of the ON/OFF button
The unlocking button of the ON/OFF button blocks the
ON/OFF button and thus prevents accidental switching
on of the device.
Symbols on the device
General warning symbol.
Before the initial startup, read the operat-
ing instructions for the device, battery
pack and charger, as well as all safety in-
structions.
Do not subject the device to rain or moist
conditions.
Risk of injury due to cuts! Do not touch
the cutting edges or the moving blades.
Keep body parts away from the blades.
The guaranteed sound level specified on
the label is 82 dB.

1. Charge the battery pack (see operating instructions
and safety instructions for the battery pack and the
charger).
Mounting the blade guard
DANGER
Risk of injury due to cuts from sharp blades and ac-
cidentally switching on the device!
Remove the battery from the device before all work on
the device.
Make sure that the ON/OFF button is not pressed while
inserting the battery pack.
Avoid unintentionally switching on the device.
Wear safety goggles and protective gloves when work-
ing on the device.
Always mount the blade guard before working on the
device and before transporting it.
1. Slide the blade guard onto the blades of the grass or
shrub shears.
