13.7 Adjusting the steering (Fig. 24)
If you have difficulty steering the dumper, readjust the steering
levers (3) and (18) with the adjuster (30).
1. Loosen the counternut (31) with an open-ended spanner
AF 14 mm (not included in the scope of delivery) and un-
screw the adjuster (30) slightly.
This removes the slack in the cable that may occur after first
use or due to normal wear and tear.
2. Be careful not to unscrew the adjuster (30) too far, as this
may cause the problem of interruption of the drive.
3. After adjusting, tighten the counternut (31) again.
13.8 Lubrication of the drive chain (28) (Fig. 25)
The drive chain (28) should be re-greased every 500 operat-
ing hours if used frequently. After prolonged storage, the drive
chain (28) should be re-greased before being used again.
1. To do this, loosen the two fastening screws (top and bot-
tom) of the maintenance opening (27). Use an open-end
spanner AF 10 mm for this ( not included in the scope of
delivery).
2. Then re-grease the drive chain (28) with a little lubricat-
ing grease.
3. Replace the cover and screw in the fastening screws of the
maintenance opening (27).
13.9 V-belt tension and V-belt replacement
(Fig. 26 - 27)
Remove the belt cover (35) to gain access to the V-belt (34).
Never use the dumper without the belt cover (35).
13.9.1 Tension of the V-belt (35)
(Fig. 26 - 27)
The V-belt (34) must be in good condition to ensure optimum
power transmission from the engine to the eccentric shaft.
Therefore, check the condition of the V-belt (34).
1. Switch the engine off and let it cool down.
2. Remove the belt cover (35) to gain access to the V-belt
(34). To do this, use an open-end spanner AF 13 mm (not
included in the scope of delivery) to loosen the screws and
the two nuts incl. washers from the front belt cover (35).
3. Press the unlocking lever (20) to be able to operate the
clutch lever (19).
4. Use the belt tensioning screw (37) on the Bowden cable to
tighten the V-belt (34) if it gives more than AF 10-15 mm
(press with your thumb!). Adjust the nuts with an open-end
spanner AF 13 mm (not included in the scope of delivery).
5. Replace the belt cover (35) and tighten the screw and nuts
incl. washers on the belt cover (35) using an open-end
spanner AF 13 mm (not included in the scope of delivery).
While doing so, hold the nut against the front belt cover
(35) with an open-end spanner AF 13 mm and tighten the
screw.
13.9.2 Replacing the V-belt (34)
(Fig. 26 - 27)
If the V-belt (34) is torn, worn out or smooth, it must be re-
placed.
1. Switch the engine off and let it cool down.

2. Remove both belt covers (35) to gain access to the V-belt
(34). To do this, use an open-end spanner AF13 mm (not
included in the scope of delivery) to loosen the screws and
the two stop nuts incl. washers from the front belt cover
(35). On the rear belt cover (35), also remove the two
screws and loosen the rear screw with an open-end span-
ner AF13.
3. Loosen the guide hook (36) with an open-ended spanner
AF 16 mm (not included in the scope of delivery).
4. Pull the worn V-belt (34) off the belt pulley and fit a new
V-belt correctly.
5. Screw the guide hook (36) tight.
6. Use the belt tensioning screw (37) on the Bowden cable to
tighten the V-belt (34) if it gives more than AF 10-15 mm
(press with your thumb!). Adjust the nuts with an open-end
spanner AF 13 mm (not included in the scope of delivery).
7. Replace the belt covers (35) and tighten the screws and the
stop nuts incl. washers on the two belt covers (35) using an
open-end spanner AF 13 mm (not included in the scope
of delivery). While doing so, hold the nut against the front
belt cover (35) with an open-end spanner AF 13 mm and
tighten the screw.
13.10 Changing the gearbox oil (Fig. 28 - 29)
The oil must be replaced every 1000 operating hours whilst the
engine is off and in warm condition.
To do this, let the engine run for a short time if necessary.
Set the gear selector lever (14) to position N and operate the
clutch lever (19).
1. Place a suitable collecting container with min. 2 litre vol-
ume under the gearbox oil's oil drain screw (32).
2. First open the oil drain screw (32) and then the oil filling
nozzle (33) and allow all the gearbox oil to drain out.
3. Close the oil drain screw (32) again.
4. Use a gear oil pump with hose (not included in the scope
of delivery) to fill up the gearbox oil. Insert the hose via
the opening into the oil filling nozzle (33) and fill 1.62
litres of gearbox oil (SAE30 / 80W-90) via the oil filling
nozzle (33).
5. Then close the oil filling nozzle (33) again.
