An element of the intended use is also the observance of the
safety instructions, as well as the assembly instructions and op-
erating information in the operating manual.
Persons who operate and maintain the machine must be famil-
iar with it and must be informed about potential dangers.
In addition, the applicable accident prevention regulations
must be strictly observed.
Other general occupational health and safety-related rules and
regulations must be observed.
The liability of the manufacturer and resulting damages are ex-
cluded in the event of modifications of the machine.
The machine may only be operated with original parts and
original accessories from the manufacturer.
Please observe that our equipment was not designed with the
intention of use for commercial or industrial purposes. We as-
sume no guarantee if the equipment is used in commercial or
industrial applications, or for equivalent work.

When using equipment, several safety warnings must be ob-
served to prevent injuries and damage. For this reason, please
carefully read this operating manual / safety instructions. If the
device is handed over to another person, hand over the oper-
ating and safety instructions with it. We accept no liability for
accidents or damage that occur due to a failure to observe this
manual and the safety instructions.

General safety information
1.
Keep the work area orderly
-
Disorder in the work area can lead to accidents.
2.
Take environmental influences into account
-
Never work with the device in enclosed or poorly venti-
lated spaces. When the engine is running, toxic gases are
produced. These gases can be odourless and invisible.

Do not expose the device to rain.

Do not use the device in a damp or wet environment.

Make sure to have a secure footing on uneven terrain.

Always ensure adequate lighting when working.

Do not use the device in flammable vegetation or where
there is a risk of fire or explosion.

In dry conditions, provide fire extinguishers (fire hazard).
3.
Keep other persons away

Do not allow other persons, especially children and young
people, to touch the device. Keep them away from your
work area.

Securely store unused devices

Unused devices should be stored in a dry, elevated or
closed location out of the reach of children.

Do not overload your device

Work in the specified power range.

Dress properly
-
Do not wear wide clothing or jewellery, which can be-
come entangled in moving parts.

Wear sturdy work gloves, leather gloves provide good
protection.

Wear safety shoes with steel toecaps.

Always wear a work suit made of sturdy material when
carrying out any work.

Tie long hair back in a hair net and safety helmet.
7.
Use personal protective equipment
-
Always wear head, eye, hand, foot and hearing protec-
tion.
8.
Avoid abnormal posture
-
When using the device, make sure that it is sufficiently se-
cured.
9.
Work with full awareness
-
Never work under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medica-
tion or other substances that may impair vision, dexterity
or judgement.
10. Use the device as intended
-
Do not use the device for applications for which it is not
intended.
m Use of petrol
m Danger to life! Petrol is toxic and highly flam-
mable.
• Only store petrol in containers (canisters) designed and test-
ed for this purpose. The tank caps must always be properly
screwed on and tightened. Defective caps must be replaced
for safety reasons.
• Keep petrol away from sparks, open flames, permanent
flames, heat sources and other sources of ignition. Do not
smoke!
• Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while refuelling.
• Before refuelling, switch off the combustion engine and let
it cool down.
• Petrol must be filled before starting the combustion engine.
While the combustion engine runs or if the machine is hot,
the tank plug must not be opened and petrol must not be
filled.
• Open the tank plug carefully and slowly. Wait for the pres-
sure to equalise and only then remove the tank cover com-
pletely.
