7.9.5 Sample Selection
If you wish to execute an established method with a different number of samples, you can refer to the Sam-
ple Selection function in the settings of the Execute tab.
a. In the software, create a method with the maximum number of accumulating samples (or with the maxi-
mum number of machinable samples in a single run of the Liquid Handling Station).
b. In the settings of the Execute tab, select the Sample Selection tab. Here you can reduce the methods to
the actual number of accumulating samples.
c. Save the Sample Selection details entered by clicking on the Save Method button.
d. Optional: Block the methods as described under Explorer > Method Management > "Lock/unlock
method".
The Sample Selection Dialog can only be accessed if the sample size in the selected labware(s) can be
changed. Changes to the Sample Selection rules are no longer possible.
Settings

Then place a check mark next to Enable Sample Selection in order to enable the Sample Selection func-
tion.

In the Labware to select field, use the Plus button to select the labware that you want to make changes to.
Or, in the graphical view, select the labware by clicking on the right mouse button. By clicking on Use for
Sample Selection in the context window that opens, you can select the labware for the Sample Selection
function.

Click on the Edit Sample Selection button.
or
Use the right mouse button to select the labware chosen for the Sample Selection and select in the Edit
Sample Selection context window that opens.
Mark the well, or wells, which are not to be considered in the method run and press the Del button, or select
Do not use after pressing the right mouse button.
