DISASSEMBLY
Follow the instructions from FIG.6 to FIG. 9, as indicated in the above
paragraph.

Remove the dust seal (12) from the slider top (7) with a small screwdriver.

Use the same screwdriver and remove the stop ring (11) of the oil seal (10) on
the slider.

Pull out the slider (7) from the stanchion tube (5-6). Pull vigorously to pull the
two parts apart. In this way, oil seal (10), cup (9) and pilot bushing (8) will be
removed from the slider.

Remove the pilot bushing (39) from the stanchion with a flat screwdriver
inserted in the bushing slot.
Then, remove pilot bushing (8), cup (9), oil seal (10), stop ring (11) and dust
seal (12) from the stanchion.
IMPORTANT: once removed, oil seals shall never be reused.
Check for proper operating conditions of the pilot bushings before
reassembling. Should they be scored or scratched, change them. Check for
proper conditions of the Teflon coating; it must be on at least æ of the total
surface. If not, change the bushing.
REASSEMBLY

Put some adhesive tape onto the stanchion top (5-6) to avoid any damages to
the oil seals. Fit the following parts into the stanchion according to the given
order: dust seal (12), stop ring (11), oil seal (10), cup (9) and pilot bushing (8).
Remove the tape and any possible glue residue.

Insert a flat screwdriver into the pilot bushing slot (39) and fit it into the
stanchion: put the bushing into its seat by hand.

Gently fit the stanchion (5-6) with the bushing into the slider (7). Pilot bushing
(8), cup (9) and oil seal (10) should rest against the slider.

Fit the pusher part no. R5080AC on the stanchion tube (5-6) and push pilot
bushing (8), cup (9) and oil seal into their seat (10).

Fit the stop ring (11). Make sure it is perfectly seated into the slider groove.
Also, make sure not to scratch the stanchion.
Fit the dust seal. (12).
Fill with oil and reassemble all removed parts as described in the previous
paragraph, from FIG. 10 to FIG. 13.
