Preparation for start-up and topping up

Caution - Risk of frostbite!
Leaking coolant can result in frostbite to the
hands and body.

Wear protective goggles .

Wear protective gloves .
Follow the instructions below carefully to
prevent the coolant from leaking into the
environment:
1.
Place the ACS 400/450 on a horizontal
surface .
2.
Operate parking brake on ACS 400/450 .
3.
Connect mains cable .
4.
Connect connection adapter with sealing
ring to external coolant cylinder connec-
tion .
With connection fittings with two shut
off valves: Connect connection adapter
to L (liquid) connection .
5.
Connect red rapid action coupling (Fig . 1;
item 7) on ACS 400/450 to connection
adapter for external coolant cylinder .
6.
Open shut off valve on red rapid action
coupling (turn clockwise) .
7.
Open shut off valve on external coolant
cylinder .

Current internal pressure of external
coolant cylinder is indicated on the
high pressure manometer (HP) .

8.
Switch on ACS 400/450 at central main
switch . The following messages are dis-
played in turn after switching on the
ACS 400/450:

The empty weight of the internal coolant
cylinder is around -0 .800 kg on the ACS 400,
and around -1 .500 kg on the ACS 450 .

Software version number appears for approx . 1 sec .
