3 PROFINET information

PROFINET is the innovative open standard for Industrial Ethernet and satisfies all requirements of
automation technology.
PROFINET is a publicly accessible specification, which was published by the IEC (IEC/PAS 62411) in
2005 and has been part of the IEC 61158 and IEC 61784 standards since 2003.
PROFINET is supported by "PROFIBUS International" and the "INTERBUS Club".
