Opening the device

Maintenance Works
Oil change
Only change the oil while it is still warm.
DANGER
Risk of burns due to hot oil!
Let the oil cool down to approx. 40 °C prior
to changing the oil.
 Place a pan underneath the locking
valve to catch the oil.
 Turn out the oil drain screw.
 Open the locking valve and let all the oil
drain.
 Close locking tap.
 Fix in the oil drain screw and tighten it.
 Unscrew the lid from the oil fill neck.
 Fill in fresh oil until the oil level lies be-
tween the "MIN" and "MAX" markings.
For oil type refer to technical specifica-
tions.
 Screw the lid onto the oil fill neck.
 Switch on the machine and check the
oil level indicator while the machine is
running. If required, top up oil carefully.
Faults with display
Remedy
Check ventilator function of oil cooler, clean if re-
quired. Call customer service in case of defects.
Inform Customer Service.
Press "Reset" key. Restart the machine. If the
fault recurs, call customer service.
Check the extruder plate and the pistons for dam-
age; contact customer service if damaged.
Inform Customer Service.
Check the electrical connection.
Faults without display
Remedy
Wait until the liquid carbon dioxide has displaced
the gas in the line.
If the solenoid valve is functioning properly, there
will be an audible click when the carbon dioxide
supply is switched off. Call customer service if
necessary.

Clean the drain and the condensate line.

Risk of cold burns on account of dry ice or
cold parts of the machine. While working on
the machine, wear appropriate safety gear
for protection against cold or remove dry
ice and let the machine heat up.
Avoid bodily contact with dry ice.
Never put dry ice in your mouth.
