Initial Set-up

10 Menu: Tuning Speed Loop
11 "ACTIVE" switched on.
12 Adjust test generator as required.
Activate test generator with "START F8".
Activate graph to display motor current or speed. Can be optimized
manually (P- and I- gain)
Is the result ok?

Yes: continue with Step 14
14 Commissioning the Position Controller
Commission the position controller without any linked mechanics. Connect
the mechanics when it is functioning correctly.
15 Power OFF.
Connect the motor shaft to the application.
Rotate the motor shaft to a free area between any mechanical limits.
Power ON.
16 Menu: Tuning Position Loop
17 Adjust test generator:
•
Select Position 1 and Position 2 to a non-critical value.
•
First select a slow speed and low acceleration first. Increase later.
18 "ACTIVE" switched on. Every activation of "START F8" produces a
movement from Position 1 to Position 2; and with the next activation, from
Position 2 to Position 1.
19 Observe the behaviour of application and graph.
•
Optimize tuning-parameters (P-, I- and V gain)
20 Is the result ok?
Yes: continue with Step 21
22 Basic power-up is now complete.
Further functions (interfaces, fieldbus functions, synchronizing etc.) may be
required depending upon the application.
22 Select the menu "File" store parameters" and store the data in the regulator,
protect against lost, with F7-key
