5 Operating the machine

5.1 Safety during operation

Working on terrain with a slope inclination of
over 40%
DANGER!
Danger when working on terrain with a
slope inclination of more than 40%!
On slopes with an inclination of more than
40% or on uneven terrain, the machine
may slip or topple over.
– Observe environmental and weather
conditions.
– Inspect the subsoil before work.
– Select the correct tyres: Double
wheels, sprocket wheels, etc.
– Make sure that the tyre pressure is cor-
rect.
– Select the widest possible track width
and axle width.
– Adjust your speed.
– Wear protective footwear with a good
tread.
– Make sure that no one is in the danger
zone.

DANGER!
Danger to people and animals in the
danger zone!
The attachment can trap people or ani-
mals, make them fall over, run them over,
crush them or lacerate them.
– The operator bears full responsibility
for ensuring that no one is in the
danger zone.
– If people or animals enter the danger
zone, immediately release the dead
man's handle. Do not operate the dead
man's handle again until the danger
zone is free of people and animals.
– Do not touch machine parts until they
have come to a complete standstill
(observe the stopping time of the
moving parts).
– Keep at a safe distance when working
with attachments.
