16. Change of Crystal

In order to avoid a double channel assignment it may be necessary to change the crystals on your remote
control system.
For reasons of operational safety, you should only use crystals that are explicitly recommended
for the use of your remote control system by the supplier.
• Pull the holder for the transmitter crystal (1) on the back
of the transmitter housing (2) out of the holder, whilst
the transmitter is turned off.
• Take the transmitter crystal out of its plastic holder.
• Insert the replacement crystal (3) with a different chan-
nel in the same frequency band. Please make sure that
you place the right crystal in the holder. Transmitter crys-
tals are normally marked with the letter "T" or "TX" (T =
"transmitter").
• Put the crystal holder (1) back into the transmitter.
• The receiver crystal is located on the right side of the RC
box (4) as seen from driving direction.
• Using tweezers or pliers, pull the receiver crystal (5) at
the plastic flap through the opening in the RC box from
the receiver.
• The suitable replacement crystal for the receiver has to
be marked with the same channel name as the transmit-
ter crystal. In addition, the letter codes "R" or "RX" (R =
receiver) are indicated.
• Insert the replacement crystal with the suitable frequency
for the transmitter into the receiver.
• Now, switch on the transmitter and afterwards the re-
ceiver and check the function of the system.
