TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The electric high level order picking truck models V 10 E
and V 12 E are designed for loading and stacking loads of
up to 1.0 and 1.25 tons respectively.
The truck is steered either by a guideline or by means of
guide rollers. It is equipped with an electric traction drive
and a transistor pulse control for traction and lifting.
Chassis and Wheels
The chassis is self-supporting; it forms a box with the
chassis guard and rear wall. It's low and slanting profile
allows good visibility when working. The traction wheel
at the rear and the load wheel at the front have Vulkollan
tyres.
Traction Drive
The traction wheel, reduction gearbox, traction motor
and electro-magnetic brake form one unit. A 48 Volt bat-
tery supplies the energy regulated by a transistor pulse
control. An oil-bathed reduction ge ar transmits tractive
power to the wheel.
Steering
The truck is provided with power steering. An electric
motor sets the traction wheel into the desired direction;
its position is indicated by LEDs. In aisles the truck is
guided either by side rollers running in guide rails or by
induction with an automatic steering following a wire in
the floor.
Mast
The driver's cab and the load lifting member are lowered
and raised hydraulically. The hydraulic system pulse· is
controlled and it includes the hydraulic unit including a
hydraulic pump and hydraulic tank with built-in suction
and return filter.
The various solenoid valves and additional supply and
return oil filters are integrated in one control block. Two
lift cylinders raise the mast with cabin and one cylinder
the supplementary lift device.

Brakes
The vehicle is braked by means of two independent brake
systems:
-
anelectro-magnetic disc brake acting on the motor
shaft designed as a "dead man's brake" with traction
current cut-off,
-
an electric brake operating when the travel directional
switch is reversed (counter-current braking).
Operation
The traction speed and the cabin lifting and lowering
speed are controlled by means of control levers con-
nected to potentiometers and by pushbuttons tor two-
handed operation .. The supplementary lift device is also
designed for two-handed control via pushbuttons.
All operating controls are located in the driver's cab at
the instrument panel.
Trucks equipped with wire guidance can be fitted with
dual controls (except the steering) so that the vehicle can
be operated optimally in both directions of travel.
Load Lifting Member
The load lifting member is either forks mounted on the
driver's cab, which can be lifted by means of aseparate
cylinder, or a walking platform* welded to the cabin.
DESCRIPTION
lnterlocks
Standard Interlocks
The industrial truck is provided with the required stan-
dard interlocks to ensure safe and proper operation.
The standard interlocks include
-
slack chain switch
- chain break switch
-
two-handed control.
Additional Interlocks*
In addition to the above mentioned interlocks, further in-
terlocks are available as options. These interlocks can
control
-
vehicle position
-
traction
-
height.
They use scanners, reflectors and sensors or switches
for signalling
- zone identification
-
aisle identification
-
speed control
for mechanical and inductive guideline control (German
abbrev: MLF or ILF).
The operator of the truck can apply to the appropriate
authority for permission to operate furt her interlocks or
to withdraw an interlock under certain conditions (see
operation).
When handing over customized systems to the operator,
the truck will be described by the distributor and the
operating personnel instructed in its proper operation.
