Step 2: Soldering the switch
NOTE: When soldering on the underside of the switch, always select the
middle pin and at choice one of both external pins, never both external pins
jointly. The allocation of "+" (plus) and "-" (minus) is unimportant.
Solder the switch in accordance with the inscription on the PCB.

Step 3: Checking the dry-reed sensor
The dry-reed sensor in the vehicle will allow you in digital operation both,
the use of the component Parking space, Art. 161674, and the use of your
converted digital vehicle on conventional Car System installations (Ana-
log operation).
Fig. 45: Dry-reed sensor
PREREQUISITE: You will require the position of the dry-reed sensor in which
the switch is open and the dry-reed sensor has no passage, that is, your mul-
timeter will not produce any noise during such check,
Before soldering the dry-reed sensor, check with the multimeter the
X
passage of the dry-reed sensor at the three contacts.
Using a permanent marker, mark on the vehicle or on the universal
X
PCB both positions of the dry-reed sensor in which the dry-reed sen-
sor shows no passage.
Solder the cables to both positions of the dry-reed sensor in which
X
that sensor shows no passage.
