6. Inbetriebnahme
6.1 NetzanschiuB
Beachten Sie bitte vor der Inbetriebnahme des Gerates,
daB der VG 1000 fiir eine Netzspannung von 220V aus-
gelegt ist (Toleranzbereich von ca. 200V ... 240V).
Werkseitig ist die Umriistung auf 110V mdglich.
(Toleranzbereich 100V ... 120V).
Das GerAat ist schutzisoliert nach Schutzklasse II. Der
AnschluB an das Netz erfolgt iiber ein Netzkabe! ohne
Schutzkontakt.
6.2 Aufstellung des Geradtes
Betreiben Sie in unmittelbarer Nahe keine Gerate mit
starkerer Warmeentwicklung!
MitHilfe des Tragbiigels konnen Sie den VG 1000 in eine
Schraglage bringen, die Ihnen die Bedienung erleich-
tert.
6.3 Einschalten
Das Gert wird mit Taste (1) eingeschaitet. Als Betriebs-
anzeige
dient das Aufleuchten
verschiedener
LED-
Indikatoren.
6.4 SignalanschluB
S&mtliche Ausgange und der Eingang ,,Ext. Sync." sind
mit BNC-Buchsen ausgestattet. Der Innenwiderstand
ist jeweils 75 Ohm. Die zu verwendenten Kabel sind im
Abschnitt 3. (Zubeh6ér) beschrieben.
Wird ein einwandfreies Videosignal mit Normpegel
1V,3) bendtigt, so ist vorzugsweise der Videoausgang
9) an der Riickseite des Gerates zu verwenden.
6.5 HF-Einstellung
Die Abstimmung auf die Empfangsfrequenz eines ange-
schlossenen FS-Gerates oder Recorders wird mit Ein-
steller G) vorgenommen.
Dabei
ist auf das richtige
Seitenband zu achten. Wird von niedrigen nach héhe-
ren Frequenzen
abgestimmt, so entspricht die erste
mégliche Einstellung dem richtigen Seitenband.
Der HF-Ausgangspegel ist mit Einsteller @) auf rausch-
freie Wiedergabe einzustellen.
6. Startup
6.1 Power connection
Before starting the unit, remember that the VG 1000 is
designed
for operation
at a line voltage
of 220 V
(tolerance range between
approximately
200 V an
240 V).

Factory conversion for operation at 110 V is possible
(tolerance range between 100 V and 120 V).
The unit is protectively insulated to meet the provisions
of Protection Class II. Connection to utility power is viaa
power cable without protective contact.
6.2 Setting up the unit
Do not operate a device that generates significant heat
near the unit!
The handle bracket may be used to tilt up the VG 1000 for
convenient operation.
6.3 Switching on
The unit is switched on with the ® button. Lighting of
various LED displays indicates that the unit is ready for
operation.
6.4 Signal connection
Alloutputs and the "Ext. Sync." input have BNC connect-
ors. The internal impedance is always 75 ohms. The
cables to be used are described in Section 3 (Acces-
sories).
if a perfect video signal with standard level (1 Vpp) is re-
quired, the video output on the rear should preferably be
used.
6.5 HF adjustment
Tuning to the input frequency of a connected TV re-
ceiver or recorder is accomplished with the adjuster @)).
The proper sideband must be observed in the process. If
the tuning is from the lower to the higher frequency, this
corresponds to the first possible setting of the proper
sideband.
The HF output level is to be set to noise-free playback
with the adjuster @).
