Charging the Battery Pack

The new battery pack comes in a discharged condition and must be charged using the

dedicated battery charger before use. Refer to the battery charger instruction for use (IFU),
included with the battery, for more information.
The battery charger will charge the battery pack to a usable condition within three hours

depending on the initial state of charge. The X-ray detector, when connected to the
XRpad Interface and Power Unit, can also charge the battery pack, but the charge rate is
much slower.
A charged battery will eventually lose its charge if unused. Upon initial use (or after a

prolonged storage period), the battery may require three to four charge/discharge cycles
before achieving maximum capacity.
The actual battery run-time will depend on the power demands made by the X-ray detector.

The battery pack is keyed and can only be inserted into the battery charger in one orientation.
