This lifting device of type SH 3500-B, hereafter referred to as the lifting device, is
state of the art and will operate reliably provided that these instructions are
complied with. Incorrect use of the lifting device can pose serious risks

These operating and maintenance instructions are a fixed part of the type
-
SH 3500 B lifting device and contain important information on its use. They must
be accessible at the place of use at all times.

These operating and maintenance instructions are specific to the items included in
delivery from Schmalz. They do not take into account any modifications to the
system made by the customer, which are strictly prohibited.
►
The system may only be connected and started after reading and understanding
the operating and maintenance instructions.
Risk of accidents if the general safety instructions are disregarded

Use only the connections, mounting holes and attachment materials that have been
provided.
►
Carry out assembly or disassembly work only when the device is depressurized.
► When work is performed on the lifting device, the operator must ensure that access
to the means of transportation or lifting (crane, chain hoist, construction vehicle,
etc.) is restricted so that no movement can occur.
► Only qualified specialist personnel and mechanics may perform the installation,
maintenance and repair work. Qualified specialist personnel are persons who have
received technical training and have the knowledge and experience – including
knowledge of applicable regulations – necessary to enable them to recognize
possible dangers and implement the appropriate safety measures while performing
tasks.
► Observe and adhere to general safety regulations and European standards.
► Personnel and animals are not permitted to sit or stand in the danger zone area.
► The lifting device may only be used for its designated purpose (chapter 0).
► The lifting device may only be used to lift and transport suitable loads.
Lift and transport the load only with fastened load-securing chain!
► You are responsible for third parties in the lifting device's working area. In view of
this, responsibilities must be clearly specified and observed when carrying out
various tasks on the system. The competency of those responsible must be assured.
► Never use the lifting device to apply suction to fluids or bulk materials.
► Protect the components from damage of any kind.
