TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Problem
Possible Cause
Abnormal noise
Suction filter restricted.
Inlet hoses leaking. Oil foaming.
Hydraulic pump damaged, seals defective,
causing air intake.
Incorrect oil viscosity. Low oil level in tank.
Pump inlet defective, noises.
No pressure in hydraulic
system
Pump failure, leakage loss, pressure valves do
not close, valve seat damaged.
Pipe broken or leaking.
Oil of low viscosity, causing high leakage losses.
Cause as under abnormal noise.
Oil pressure fluctuating
Lift and tilt cylinders exhibit tight spots.
Mast does not extend completely or retracts slight-
ly after being extended.
Hydraulic oil temperature too
Pump failure, valves leak.
high
Oil level too low.
Lift hydraulics failure
