If the dowel pin does not glide into the adjusting sleeve or only does so with difficulty, the
torch neck holder with torch neck must be readjusted

To distinguish between centering sleeves
and adjusting sleeves, the adjusting slee-
ves are equipped with two additional cross
grooves.
Unscrew the appropriate adjusting

sleeve from the base plate of the Rob-
acta G / V testing system
Screw the adjusting sleeve into the

torch neck of the complete system ins-
tead of the contact tip
Push the torch neck into the torch neck

holder on the base plate as far as it will
go
Secure the torch neck in the torch neck

holder using an M5 x 20 mm Allen
screw
Position the torch neck holder with

torch neck on the base plate
Align the torch neck holder with torch

neck in line with the testing unit at a mi-
nimum distance of 15 mm (0.59 inch)
from the adjusting sleeve
Lightly secure the torch neck holder

using a clamp
Testing the torch neck: Insert the tes-

ting unit dowel pin into the adjusting
sleeve by pressing on the spring
The dowel pin must fully glide into the
adjusting sleeve with ease.
The dowel pin must glide out of the ad-
justing sleeve with ease after the
spring is released due to the spring
force
