3.1.4 Mode of operation
The motors are designed for continuous immersed
operation S1 with a maximum of 15 switching operations
per hour. It is recommended to set up the system for S3
intermittent operation.
The motors in the waste water and sewage pumps
are designed for S3 intermittent operation,
consisting of intervals of 10 minutes. In other words,
the percentage stated (see «Technical data») divided
by 10 gives the permissible running time per interval.
Example: S3 = 25% = 2.5 minutes operation
and 7.5 minutes standstill according to IEC 34-1/
CEI 2.3.
The product description for the FSX is to be found
in appendix FSX 50.
The maximum starting frequency per hour
with a flooded motor is given in the «Technical data».
Warning
Modes of operation, which exceed
the performance limits stated
on the nameplate or given in the
«Technical data», are not permitted.
3.1.5 Explosive enviroments
For operation of the pumps
in explosive enviroments only models
with explosion-proof motors
(Ex model) must be used.
For each individual installation
the explosion classification (Ex-class)
of the pump must be approved
by the local authorities.
