6.8 BATTERY (12V – 12Ah)
The battery housing is under the central channel under the small
glove box, (see section 2.7).
Installing the battery:
To place the battery into its housing, follow the instructions below:
• First charge the battery.
• Place the adhesive band supplied with the vehicle as shown
in Fig. 39, removing the two protective films from the ends of
the adhesive area, as shown by the arrow in the drawing (P -
Fig. 39).
• Open the central glove box door using the ignition key. Extract
the key to obtain the largest opening (see Fig. 40).
• Unloosen the four screws that fix the glove-box tray to the central
channel using a screwdriver.
• Remove the tray, lifting it from the front (Fig. 40), until it
completely comes out.

• Remove the wiring with the DARK BLUE and LIGHT BLUE
cables (+) and the two BLACK cables (-) to be connected to the
battery.
• Place the battery on the central channel to facilitate connection
with the main connector and fit the exhaust tube (T – Fig. 39).
• Connect the battery to:
Positive pole (+) DARK BLUE and LIGHT BLUE cables.
Negative pole (-) 2 BLACK cables.
• Fit the battery, making sure that it perfectly fits in its housing
and that the exhaust tube comes out from the hole provided
(Fig. 41 page 41).
• Check that the battery, the wiring harness and the exhaust
tube are correctly installed, then refit the tray previously taken
out and fix it with the screws.
Do not use the vehicle without battery correctly placed
and connected with the main wiring. This may cause
failures and short circuit of the electric system and its
components.
