2.12 IGNITION SWITCH/KEYS

• The main switch (Fig. 20) controls the starting circuit and

handlebar lock.

IGNITION: turn the key clockwise and pull one of the two brake
levers, then push the starter button. Starting is only electric. The
vehicle is not equipped with a kick lever.

KEYS
The vehicle is supplied with two keys with a numeric
code, which allow you to:
• set the ignition contact.
• Lock the steering.
• Get to the helmet compartment.
• Open the lower central glove box door
and that of the leg-guard boot.
Checking the warning light of the engine oil pressure sensor
(automatic).
When turning the starter key inserted in the ignition switch to the
position
BAR OIL for about 5 seconds, so as to show the engine oil pressure
sensor is working; the BAR OIL indication must disappear when
starting the vehicle. Should the BAR OIL indication not appear on
the display, then check the engine oil level before starting the
vehicle and go to a Malaguti Vendor/Dealer as soon as possible.
2.13 HANDLEBAR LOCK
Insertion
With the handlebar turned on the left, insert the key completely
and then turn it anticlockwise (Fig. 21).
Disengaging
Turn the key clockwise.
