The dip stick has a M i n i m u m and a M a x i m u m
mark, and the oil level should be between the
t w o . If the level is lower, then add sufficient
oil t o raise it t o the proper level. Düring the
break-in period, you should replace the gear
oil 3 0 days or 500 k m (300 mi) after the date
o f purchase. The transmission should be
drained and refilled approximately every
3,000 k m (2,000 m i ) . On the b o t t o m o f the
engine there is a drain plug. Remove it and
drain all the transmission oil o u t . Reinstall the
drain plug (make sure it is t i g h t ) . A n d oil
through the dip stick hole.
N O T E :
Do n o t add any chemical additives. Trans-
mission oil also lubricates the clutch and
additives could cause the clutch t o slip.
