8. Assembling the model
Before assembling the model, please read through each individual section carefully. The construction phases are illustrated for better understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the illustration to the right.
Only carry out the described steps in the individual sections if you have completely understood the procedure and know exactly what to pay
attention to.
a) Installing the aileron servo
Use a box cutter to cut a suitable opening (1) for the servo extension cable into
the wing.
The cut-out should be positioned slightly behind the wing spar (2).
Then insert the extension cable (3).
Install two servo arms as shown in figure 3b.
Make sure that the linkage connector (1) can be rotated easily but is still installed
tight enough on the servo arm.
Our tip: To prevent the screw connection from getting loose, it is advisable to
secure it with a drop of superglue on the nut (2).
Install the arm (1) on the servo (2) in a 90° angle and wrap a strip of adhesive
tape around the servo.
Glue to servo into the designated cut-out using 5-minute epoxy glue.
Connect the connection cable (3) to the previously installed extension cable (4)
and install it in the provided cable duct.
Then apply the sticker from the decal sheet intended for the cable duct.
Caution!
Make sure that the servo is in neutral position before gluing it into
the wing.
Our tip: To prevent the plug connection from getting loose, use heat-shrink
tube or adhesive tape.
