9. Installing the retractable landing gear

Please note:
A retractable landing gear is not included in delivery. It must be purchased separately.

a) Preparing the wing

The wing has to be re-worked around the servo installation position as shown
on the right so that there is space for the servo linkage.
Our tip: Special cutting equipment for rigid foam is available.
The retractable landing gear servo (1) is installed with two screws.
The linkage rod (1) has to be installed from the landing gear recess to the
retractable landing gear servo.
The linkage rod should be straight and smooth-running in order to prevent
problems during operation.
Our tip: The installation is easier if you heat the linkage rod with a lighter on
one side. The rod will then move smoothly in the rigid foam.
