2.13 Thread Take-up Disk

When the needle tip reaches the surface of the needle plate when
entering and exiting, then the up and downward moving tips of the
feed dog teeth should lie at the same distance to the needle plate
surface.
Caution Risk of Injury!
Before adjusting turn the main switch off.
Setting
–
Remove the grease cap and oil baffle.

Arrest the machine in position B.
–
Turn the stroke eccentric 4 so that, in the direction of run, the 1st
screw lies at the same height as the 2nd screw of the advance
eccentric.
Fine adjustment
–
If the conditions described above are not met turn the stroke
eccentric 4 slightly.
The thread take-up disk should, with the machine arrested in slot B
(upper dead center), lie 4 mm above the support plate 1.

Loosen the screws on the thread take-up disk.
–
Arrest the machine in position B.
–
Turn the thread take-up disk appropriately. With the gauge 7 set
the correct dimension.
–
Set the disk close and tighten the screws.
Caution Risk of Injury!
Before adjusting turn the machine off.
