Before commissioning, ensure the following:

• Mounting and installation have been carried out correctly.
• Housing is undamaged.
• Cables have been connected correctly.

Explosion hazard due to incorrect installation!
Non-compliance results in severe or fatal injuries.
• Check the device for proper installation before commissioning.
• Comply with national regulations.
Only required in the last field device coupler of the
trunk. See chapter "EOL resistor (terminator)".
Lay the lines in such a way that damage
(e.g. due to bending, fraying) during operation is
avoided.
If necessary, remove loose metal chips, dirt and
traces of moisture from the connection enclosure.
Refer to the specified tightening torques for the
cable entries.
•
Use certified plugs for the cable entries.
•
Use plugs which can be adapted in size to
the clamping range of the relevant cable
entry.
•
Use permitted and certified stopping plugs.
•
Use stopping plugs which securely seal the
enclosure openings.
•
Fit the enclosure cover and make sure the
seal is seated correctly.
•
Insert and tighten the cover screws.
Note the tightening torque.
