Alternatively, this parameter can also be set during operation via acyclic parameter access to the
scaling function PNU 65006, see page 139.
Function, if parameter Scaling: Total Measuring Range = 0:
The total number of steps over the whole measurement range of the measuring system is defined, via
the measuring length stored in the measuring system and the resolution set here.
Selection Description
1000 Resolution = 1 µm per step
2000 Resolution = 2 µm per step
5000 Resolution = 5 µm per step
10 000 Resolution = 10 µm per step
50 000 Resolution = 50 µm per step
100 000 Resolution = 100 µm per step
1000 000 Resolution = 1 mm per step

Function, if parameter Scaling: Total Measuring Range = 0:
The total number of steps over the whole measurement range of the measuring system is defined, via
the measuring length stored in the measuring system and the resolution set under the parameter
Scaling: Measuring step.
Function, if parameter Scaling: Total Measuring Range > 0:
The resolution of the measuring system is defined in [µm], via the measuring length stored in the
measuring system and the total number of steps over the whole measurement range set here. The
setting under the parameter Scaling: Measuring step is ignored in this case.

6.3.3.16 Tolerated sign-of-life errors (V4.2)

Alternatively, this parameter can also be set during operation via acyclic parameter access to the
master sign-of-life error function PNU 925, see page 141.
The max. number of permissible errors of the master sign-of-life counter is defined with this
parameter. The parameter Compatibility Mode V3.1 must be set to disable for this purpose. If
the max. number of permissible errors is exceeded, the error code 0x0F02 is transmitted instead of
the position via signal G1_XIST2.
