9.2.2 Flame baffle plate
On delivery the flame baffle plate (see Appendix 2, fig. 4) is located in the top section of the appliance.
In case of maintenance to the appliance, the flame baffle plate has to be removed.
To do this proceed as follows:
Ø
Take hold of the flame baffle plate and push the right side upwards.
Ø
Slide the flame baffle plate over the ridge to the right.
Ø
Lower the left side of the flame baffle plate and remove the flame baffle plate.
Placing the flame baffle plate takes place in reverse order.
The stainless steel profile must be placed at the front with the screw heads facing the top (see Appendix 2, fig. 4).

9.3 Adjusting the door / Replacing door seal
Check the closing of the door during installation or maintenance.
To do this proceed as follows:
Ø
Check the sealing of the door by placing a sheet of paper between the door and the fire. After closing the door, it
should not be possible to pull out the sheet of paper easily. Check the outside of the fire.
If there is insufficient connection (gaps), the door can be adjusted. For this, see paragraph 9.4. The door seal can
be replaced at all appliances described in this manual. For this, we would also like to refer you to paragraph 9.4.
9.4 Supplementary installation instructions per appliance
9.4.1 Lars 1000
9.4.1.1 Outside air connection
Outside air connections are available for these appliances as accessories. Assembly always takes place at
the bottom of the appliance.
When installing a RS appliance, the outdoor air connection is pre-mounted at delivery. If so, observe the steps

described under the heading 'Outdoor air connection pre-mounted'.
Outdoor air connection not pre-mounted:
In case of these appliances, exhaust is only possible via the rear.
When mounting the outside air connection, please proceed as follows (see Appendix 2, fig. 9 and 11):
Ø
Loosen the 5 bolts that are pre-mounted on the outdoor air connection.
Ø
Place the outdoor air connection against the plate located on the bottom side of the appliance.
Ø
Then re-tighten the 5 bolts.
Ø
Follow the steps below from here; rear connection or bottom connection.
In case of a rear connection (see Appendix 2, fig. 9 a+b):
Ø
Break the plate out of the rear of the appliance.
Ø
Fasten the container for the benefit of the rear connection with 4 bolts.
Ø
Connect the flexible hose to the round 'pipe mouth' of the above-mentioned container. The flexible hose can only
be supplied from the rear.
The round pipe opening for the benefit of the lower connection is not needed during installation and should

be disposed of responsibly.
In case of a bottom connection (see Appendix 2, fig. 11 a+b):
Ø
Mount the supplied round pipe opening using 4 bolts.
Ø
Connect the flexible hose (Ø 80 mm) to this pipe opening.
The container with round pipe opening for the benefit of the rear connection is not needed during installation

and should be disposed of responsibly.
Outdoor air connection pre-mounted:
Ø
Connect the flexible hose (Ø 80 mm) to the round 'pipe mouth' of the outdoor air connection.
In the case of an RS appliance, you are dealing with a fully closed system. This means that you must always ensure

an airtight connection of the flexible hose to the round 'pipe mouth' by using heat resistant sealant.
