Insert a hand through the flue hole and grasp the connecting piece handle.
Ø
Pull the flexible pipe with the connecting piece downwards.
Ø
Fasten the flexible connecting piece to the appliance with 3 bolts.
The handle in the flexible connecting piece (see Appendix 2, Fig. 6b) can be broken out after installation. This is

not necessary but can be desirable for sweeping the chimney.
The draining flex/fix connecting piece can be used to make both a flexible or fixed connection.
Tip!
With a fixed connection the pipe material lowers fully into the connecting piece, with a flexible connection only

half of it (see Appendix 2, Fig. 6c).
9.2.4 Air slide valve
With installation and maintenance of the appliance check the operation of the air slide valve (see Appendix 2,
Fig. 7). There is the possibility that steel grit entered the air slide valve during transport. If the air slide valve does
not move smoothly it must be cleaned. The air slide valve must be disassembled to do this. The air slide valve is
suspended sprung by means of a bolt and a spring located below the cover plate.
Proceed as follows when disassembling the air slide valve (see Appendix 2, Fig. 7):
Ø
Remove the vermiculite plates and the felt from the bottom (see section 9.3.1).
Ø
Remove the 5 cover plate socket screws from the bottom.
Ø
Remove the cover plate.
Ø
If there is an outside air connection remove the 2 screws from the front strip.
You only have to remove the front strip if an exterior connection is assembled.
!Caution
Ø
Remove the socket screw with spring.
Ø
Remove the air slide valve by bringing it towards you.
Ø
Check the air slide valve and clean it if necessary.
To replace the air slide valve proceed as described for removal in reverse order.
9.3 Interior lining
9.3.1 Vermiculite
The fire's vermiculite plates are located on the bottom against the rear wall and/or side walls of the appliance. In
the following situations the vermiculite plates must be taken out:
•
When disassembling the air slide valve (see section 9.2.4).
•
To be able to reach the adjustable legs (see section 9.7).
•
When replacing the vermiculite plates. The bottom plates and the underlying felt are first removed and the
rear plates last. The insertion of the vermiculite plates takes place in reverse order.
Make sure that the vermiculite plates are replaced in the original position! The back plate with the small, not
!Caution
countersunk, holes must be placed to the front.
9.3.2 Flame baffle plate
On delivery the flame baffle plate (see appendix 2, fig. 8) is located in the top section of the appliance. The flame
baffle plate must be removed in a number of situations:
•
when mounting and checking the flue gas exhaust connection;
•
when performing maintenance at the flue duct;
•
when replacing the flame baffle plate.
For removing the flame baffle plate, proceed as follows:
Ø
Lift the left side of the flame baffle plate until it gets above the edge and slide the flame baffle plate to the right.
Ø
Lower the left side of the flame baffle plate and slide the flame baffle plate to the left.
Ø
Slide the right-hand side of the flame baffle plate over the edge.
Ø
Slide the flame baffle plate to the left and lower it until it reaches the lower section of the appliance.
Ø
Now you can remove the flame baffle plate.
Placing the flame baffle plate takes place in reverse order.
The stainless steel profile must be placed at the front with the screw heads facing the top (see appendix 2, fig. 8).
!Caution
9.4 Door adjustment
Check the closing of the door with installation or maintenance. The door can be adjusted if desired. This is the
case if sealing is insufficient is (gaps).
