Check the sealing of the door by placing a sheet of paper between the door and the fire. After closing the door the
sheet of paper may not be able to be easily pulled out. Check around the door.
Proceed as follows when adjusting the door:
Ø
Loosen the 2 hexagonal bolts on the top and bottom side of the hinging part of the door with an open-end
spanner one turn (see Appendix 2, Fig. 9).
Do not fully remove these bolts!
!Caution
Ø
The door can now be adjusted.
Ø
Check whether the door still seals well using the test with a sheet of paper described above.
Ø
Tighten the bolts again.
Does the door still not seal properly?
Ø
Replace the sealing cord (see Appendix 2, Fig. 10).
Ø
Adjust the door handle.
When replacing the cord proceed as follows:
Ø
Open the door.
Ø
Remove the cord and the mastic from the recess.
Ø
Apply a new layer of high temperature-resistant mastic in the recess where the cord was.
Ø
Place a new cord in the recess. Do this loosely and do not pull the cord tight.
Ø
Insert both ends of the cord in the special sleeve.
The cord, the sleeve and the mastic are available through your supplier.
Make sure that the sleeve is placed on the underside of the glass pane.
!Caution
The door can also be adjusted in height. There are 2 eyelets on the upper pin on which the door is hung.
Removing one or more of these eyelets allows the door to fall to the desired level.
Proceed as follows when adjusting the door handle:
Ø
Loosen the 2 hexagonal pin nuts around which the handle of the door falls a few turns (see Appendix 2, fig. 11).
This pin ensures that the door is tightly clamped.
Ø
Adjust the pin.
Ø
Tighten the 2 hexagonal nuts again.
Ø
Test the sealing of the door (see the start of this paragraph).
Ø
Repeat this process if the result is not satisfactory.
