The adjustable handle (10) can be swivelled at 90° to the left or to the right in
order to reduce fatigue when trimming hedges. To rotate the handle, first press
the twist lock (7) and tilt the adjustable handle (10) either to the left or to the right.
Rotate the handle up to the end until it locks audibly.
HINT: The throttle trigger (9) cannot be operated if the adjustable handle (10) is
not properly engaged.

Shut off the Engine

Release the throttle lever.

Set the start/stop switch (6) in the position O.

When cutting is completed, always place the blade bar protection over the
bar.
HINT: When stopping the engine the blade bar will run for some seconds.
Wait until the blade bar has come to a complete standstill prior to place down
the hedge trimmer.
Hints on Trimming Hedges
If a hedge has to be cut back very substantially, trim the
hedge in two passes.
First cut the hedge to the desired height and stretch a string
along the hedge at the desired height. Guide the blades of the
hedge trimmer at an angle of 10 – 15° to the hedge in order to
get a straight cut.
Trim the hedge to a trapezoidal shape cutting from the bottom
to the top.
Round the top edges of the hedge.
Finally trim the bottom edges back. Appropriately dispose off cut materials.
