Before first Use
Remove the water kettle and check for any damage in transit.
Dispose of any non-reusable packaging material properly or store it in a safe
location out of reach of children.
Clean all parts of the water kettle before using the first time as described below
under "cleaning" on page 7.
Assembling and using the Water Kettle
1. Place the base (5) on a solid, level surface. Slide the power cord through the
cord opening (7).
2. Only connect the base to a properly installed, earthed mains socket with
protective connection.
3. Fill the kettle with water. Use the water level indicator (2). Do not overfill. The
water level should not exceed the MAX mark.
4. Place the kettle on the base (5) and closed the lid.
5. Press the switch (3) down, to switch on the water kettle. Do not force the
switch.
The control light (4) turns on. Keep the lid (1) closed at all times during use.
Before using the water kettle for the first time, fresh water should be boiled in
it twice for cleaning. Do not use any additives or detergents.
After boiling, the device switches off automatically.
If you want to stop boiling process, lift up the switch (3) or just remove the
water kettle from the base.
6. Keep the lid (3) closed when pouring water. There is risk of injury!
Disconnect the base from mains power if you do not use the water kettle for
long time, when cleaning or moving the device or if any malfunctions occur.
