Connection of a Signal Lamp
If you want to connect a signal lamp, please
take note of its operating instructions.
Signal lamps that require a total output that is lower
than 4.8 W may be connected directly. Otherwise,
the signal lamps must have their own power supply
and can be controlled via the EXAConnecT.

Pass the cable of the signal lamp through the open-
ing of the cable entrance slot 8 to the 24 V output 14
on the terminal strip. The 24 V output is constructed
with optocouplers for potential-free output of 24 V
signals. Up to 3 A may be connected.

Connect four leads to the "OUT+" terminals. The fol-
lowing configuration is recommended:
12
OUT1
Signals the readiness of the tool and corresponds
both to the green LED indicator 4 on the
EXAConnecT and to the yellow signal lamp in the
figure on the 24 V output 14.
OUT2
Signals that the screwdriver is unlocked – for ex-
ample, for the blue signal lamp.
OUT3
25
Signals a flawless single screwdriving action or a
flawless series of screwdriving actions (steady sig-
nal) OK – for example, for the green signal lamp.
The signal ceases automatically once the next
single screwdriving action or the next series of
screwdriving actions begins.
24
OUT4
Signals a flawed single screwdriving action or a
flawed series of screwdriving actions (steady sig-
nal) NOK – for example, for the red signal lamp.
The signal ceases automatically once the next
single screwdriving action or the next series of
screwdriving actions begins.
Connect the signal lamp to an external voltage
source and connect four leads from the external volt-
age source to the corresponding "OUT–" terminals of
the 24 V output 14.
Check whether the cable is held firmly in place. Then
turn the sleeve 7 on the cable entrance slot 8 in the
clockwise direction tightly back in position.
Fix the maintenance cover plate 2 back in place on
the tool housing of the EXAConnecT by tightening
the two small bottom Phillips screws 3.

Wall Mounting

Remove the maintenance cover plate 2 on the volt-
age-free EXAConnecT by unscrewing the two small
bottom Phillips screws 3.

27
For wall mounting of the EXAConnecT, you will need
two M4 screws 26 having a head diameter of 8 mm
and a length of 20 mm. Insert the screws into the re-
cess 27 on the left and right edge of the EXAConnecT
and screw it tightly to the wall.
Fix the maintenance cover plate 2 back in place on
the tool housing of the EXAConnecT by tightening
the two small bottom Phillips screws 3.
