• Connect all your devices (drives, cooler, etc.) with the matching power plugs.
• Install all cables in you PC clean and straight and make sure that the cables are not
squashed or damaged otherwise. Protect the cables from the sharp edges in your
PC's housing. Make sure they do not come into the PC's cooler.
• Use cable clips for fixing the cables in place.
Check: whether the power button on the front of your ATX housing is connect-
ed with the corresponding connection on the mainboard (see mainboard
instructions).
Because normally, turning on via the mains switch does not turn the PC on (can
possibly set/activated in the mainboard's BIOS).
• Close your computer's housing and reconnect the other devices and accessories.
• Connect the mains socket of the power pack with the mains voltage (230V~/50 Hz)
via the provided mains cable and turn the power pack on via the mains switch on
the back of the power pack.
Normally, the PC doesn't start yet. Briefly press the power button on the front of
your ATX housing in order to turn the PC on.
• If your computer does not start properly, turn it off immediately via the mains
switch on the power pack and check all settings and cable connections.
Prior to opening the housing for checking, make sure you turn off
all devices and separate them from the mains voltage, pull the
power plug, see above!
6. Handling
Condensation may form when the power pack (respectively the computer in which
the power pack is installed) is brought from a cold into a warm room.
Connection with the mains voltage may destroy the power
pack/computer and also poses the risk of a mortal electric shock.
Let the power pack (and the computer in which it is installed)
reach room temperature first before connecting it with the mains
voltage and turning it on. This might take several hours.
22
Ensure the sufficient ventilation of the power pack during operation. Do not place the
computer next to radiators and do not put the back of the computer too close to
walls or furniture. Never cover up the ventilation openings inside and outside of the
power pack.
The computer with the installed power pack must be set up in such a way that the air
can circulate.
Never put any pointed devices (e.g. paper clips, pens, knitting
needles, pins, etc.) into the ventilation slots and the openings!
This hinders the cooler's operation and also poses a mortal risk
when touching electric cables and connections.
When installing the PC in its place, make sure you do not bend or squash any con-
nection cables.
Exchange a damaged connection cable immediately for a new cable with the same
technical data. Never repair a damaged connection cable.
Operation of the power pack is only admissible in dry interior
rooms. The contact with moisture has to be avoided at all costs.
Danger of mortal electric shock!
Avoid the following adverse environmental conditions at the installation site or during
transport.
- Dampness or excess humidity
- Extreme heat or cold
- Dust or flammable gasses, vapours or solvents.
- Strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fields like in proximity to machines/loudspeakers
Check the product for damages prior to each use.
If you detect any damages, you MAY NOT connect the product to
the power supply. Mortal danger!
Turn the power pack off via the integrated mains switch if you are not going to use
the computer in which it is installed for longer periods of time.
