4. Operating Elements and Connections

Please observe:
With newer power packs, the assignment of the operating elements
and connections might change.
A Ventilator
The ventilator draws in air through the housing slots on the PC housing and blows
it out.
Therefore, never cover the ventilation openings of the power pack,
otherwise the heat build-up will destroy the power pack and the con-
nected components.
B Net socket
Connect the net socket with a proper earthed wall outlet (230V~/50 Hz) via the
supplied cable. Turn the power pack off beforehand (mains switch in position "O").
C Power switch
The power pack is turned on or off via the mains switch.
Observe point 3 of this manual under all circumstances in this respect.
D Screw holes
The four screw holes on the outer corners of the power pack serve to attach this in
the PC housing.
If possible, use all four attachment holes, as the heavy weight of the power
pack poses the risk that the PC housing is damaged during transport or that the
power pack comes off, for example.

Repairs may only be conducted by experts who are familiar with the
associated risks respectively the pertinent regulations.
The implemented fuse can only be exchanged with special tools.
Therefore, do not attempt to change the fuse yourself, leave this up to
an expert workshop.
A dry, soft, lint-free cloth is sufficient for cleaning the power pack.
You can remove the dust that accumulates on the power pack respectively the fan
blades with the help of a vacuum cleaner.
8. Disposal
Dispose of obsolete appliances according to the valid legal directives.
9. Troubleshooting
With this PC ATX power pack, you have purchased a product that reflects the latest
state of technology and is safe to operate.
Still there might be problems or malfunctions.
At this point, we want to tell you how to easily remedy possible malfunctions your-
self.
Observe the safety notices under all circumstances!
Problem
Solution
No function
Is the appliance turned on?
Is the mains cable plugged in correctly on both sides?
Does the mains outlet function properly?
Are all device connections on the inside of the computer cor-
rect? For example, when the hard drive cable is plugged in the
wrong way around, the computer might not start due to a short
circuit and the power pack does not start either.
If you have assembled a new PC, some mainboards won't
start if the CPU cooler rotates too slowly (e.g. CPU cooler with
low rotation speed for noise reduction).
