minal.

INSTALLATION
Installation Opening
In-dash installation of the unit can be possibly done if the
car's dashboard
has an opening for this unit as shown
in
Fig. 7. The car's dashboard should have a thickness of not
more than 5.5 mm
in order to make the installation of the
unit be possible.
To Remove The Unit From The Quick Release Bracket
The unitis inserted and locked in the quick release bracket
at the factory. The unit can be released by using the key
(supplied with this unit). The key is placed on the top of the
quick release bracket. See Fig. 8.
Unit Removal:
1. Remove the key from the quick release bracket.
2. Insert the key into the key hole. (Fig. 8, @) completely un-
til the safety lock is released. As a result, the handle will
be slightly lifted upward. (Fig. 8, @).
3. Pull the key out and then lift the handle. Remove the unit
from the quick release bracket by pulling the handle firm-
ly. (Fig. 8, @)
installation Procedures
1. Insert the quick release bracket into the car's dashboard
and bend
the
mounting
springs
correspondingly
by
means of a screwdriver, as shown in Fig. 8.
2. Before final mounting the quick release bracket to the
car's dashboard, read "To Secure the Rear of the quick
release bracket" which is explained
at below and check
whether the rear of the unit is properly secured to the fire
wall of car.
Also check the electrical connections by referring to this
installation instructions. Mount the quick release bracket
to the car's dashboard as shown in Fig. 8.
3. After installation reconnect the negative (—) battery termi-
nal.
4. Now insert the unit into the quick release bracket.
To Secure the Rear of the Quick Release Bracket.
m= Using the Rear Support Strap
(See Fig. 9)
Fix one end of the rear support strap to the rear of the
quick release bracket, and the other end to the Fire Wail
of Car, or some other solid area.
