BVS ID-M1280xF1-xx-xxx
6.1.2 Reset network settings
To reset the network settings of the BVS ID temoprarily to the shipment state (fixed IP address 192.168.10.2
and subnet mask 255.255.255.0) please follow these steps:
1.
Press the Auto Setup button for over 15 seconds.
2.
Connect the BVS ID to the corresponding network (192.168.10.x).
3.
Now, you can access the SensorApp of the BVS ID via http://192.168.10.2/ and view the previous
network settings under System Menu → System Settings → Network or change them if desired.
4.
After next switch on or software restart command, the BVS ID will automatically restore the previous
network settings or apply network settings that given lately in System Settings → Network. Now, you
must reconnect the LAN cable to the appropriate network.
6.1.3 Network topologies
For the startup of the BVS ID, it is first integrated in the network environment. The different options are
described in the following examples. This covers a large part of the application cases. To operate the BVS ID
requires that the operating voltage is provided via the power connection in any case.
The first example shows a simply design with a PC or an operating panel for configuring or monitoring of the
BVS ID. The interaction is done via LAN and the according communcation interface (TCP/UDP, REST API,
MQTT).
In the second example, the BVS ID is being controlled via PLC / IO-Link. In addition, the BVS ID is monitored
via the LAN connection with the according communication interface (REST API, MQTT). This allows the
controller, e.g. to initiate the trigger or query the status of the BVS ID.
NOTE
For the IO-Link master device configuration (including lights if necessary), ensure that the power supply
is within the specification of the IO-Link master.
The third example shows how the BVS ID is being controlled and monitored via PLC / IO-Link and the
according communication interface (REST API, MQTT).
