7. Consumers Getting Power from Electric Power Generating Unit
The required power of an electric power generating unit depends on the type
and power of connected consumers. To determine the required size of an elec-
tric power generating unit it is better to consult with the qualified specialist.
8. Checks Prior to Putting into Operation

8.1 Checking Engine Oil Level

1. Remove the oil feeler and rub it dry.
2. Reinsert the feeler and remove it again.
3. Oil level should be between marks "max." (maximum) and "min." (minimum) of the feeler.
Never start the engine with the oil level too low or too high; there is a possibility of damaging the
engine.
It is recommended to use oil of quality class CG-4/CH-4 as per API. The recom-
mended oil viscosity for the whole permissible temperature range is 5W-30.
8.2 Fuel
Only diesel fuel should be used.
Never use dirty fuel or a mixture of fuel and oil.
Prevent penetration of dirt, dust or water into the fuel tank.
– The fuel is a volatile flammable liquid and in certain conditions it may become explosion-
hazardous.
– Fuel replenishment should be performed only with the electric power generator unit engine
stopped and provided there is established good ventilation. During filling and in places of storage of
fuel it is prohibited to smoke and use open flame.
– Avoid overfilling of the fuel tank and tightly close the filler plug after filling.
– Make sure there are no spills during filling. Fuel vapors are prone to ignition. If leak spots are
found collect the spilt fuel, rub dry all the surfaces to remove fuel. The electric power generator unit
may be restarted only after airing the premise and removing the vapors of fuel.
– Avoid fuel getting on your skin and avoid inhaling of fuel vapors. Keep fuel in places out of reach of children.
