9.4.2
Function description
Start dressing is started via service program xx21 and subsequent dressing via
service program xx22. A prerequisite is that the dresser has been started
beforehand, otherwise a corresponding error message "10025 PLC tip dressing
aborted cause no dresser movement" is output.
• The process parameters for dressing are stored in points xx21 / xx22 with the
corresponding Weldjobs. (e.g. duration / force / search range / etc.)
• The dresser is started by service program xx23 and stopped by service
program xx24. The dresser drive that is assigned to the respective gun /
electrode of the service program runs.
• The parameters for the dresser (speed, etc.) are stored in the tip setting
parameters.
• The dresser determines its operating mode according to the electrode status
when starting the tip dresser: The electrode status "New" or "Start dressing
required" starts the operating mode "Start dressing" otherwise the operating
mode "dressing" is selected. (This behavior is not influenced by the selection of
the dressing service programs (xx21 or xx22)).
• Depending on the operating mode, the tip dresser selects its speed parameters
for start dressing or dressing.
Notes:
• Acknowledgement of dressing must be done separately via the corresponding
bits on the I/O field.
• The gun compensation is not activated during the dressing process.
9.4.3
Dressing with several speeds during the dressing sequence
• If required, dressing can be carried out with 2 speed steps.
• For this function, the "Rotations per dress" parameter must be set to > 0,
otherwise dressing is performed with only one speed,
(for start dressing, the same applies with the parameter "Rotations per dress
(start tip dress)" .
• Sequence:
The dresser starts with the service program xx23 (Start dress)
•
depending on the electrode status with the start speed for start
or follow-on dressing.
When the tips touch the dresser with the programmed force, the
•
revolutions of the dresser are counted.
After reaching the parameterizable "Number of rotations", the
•
speed is changed to the "Dresser rotaion speed (tip dresser
step 2)". This is then maintained until the gun is opened. As
soon as the gun is opened again, the speed of step 1 is
approached again and a new dressing sequence can be started
or the tip dresser can be stopped again. (Service program xx24
- tip dresser stop)
