Diagnostics

• If an invalid gun (or a gun without correspondingly assigned service program
xx03) is selected, a corresponding error message is output. ("PLC selected spot
does not exist"),
• This is also the case if the gun number changes (value not equal to 0) while a
gun is activated. ("wrong gun connected")
8.4

Activate gun

8.4.1

Function description

• The previously loaded motor and servo clamp parameters are switched active
in the drive, the drive control leaves the "Parking Axis" (PA) function for this and
switches from "Parametrizing Mode" (PM) to "Operation Mode" (OM).
• The US1 voltage of the MGDM is enabled via an optocoupler.
• It is checked whether the cyclic communication to the MGDM is running.
• If the external "weld on" is set at the corresponding digital input (control via US2
and Pilz PNOZ), the drive control switches to control mode (AF in the drive
display).
• If the gun parameter "Monitoring gun ID" is set to "On", the MGDM compares
the gun number with the gun number in the gun parameters. If they are not the
same, the gun is not activated and the error "Wrong gun connected" is
generated. (Ab in the drive display).
• Note: When changing drive parameters (all "motor parameters" and partly drive
related "servo gun parameters" like e.g. velocity controller values) these must
be loaded into the drive via the corresponding button in the PRI7000 or
activated by the function "Activate ServoGun".
