Programme for preparation of rice pudding.

Prior to initial use

Please remove any protective fi lms, advertising materials and packaging material from the appliance and
from the accessory parts. Clean the appliance and all removable accessory parts according to the cleaning
instructions in this manual.
Place the cooking pot (fi lled with 1/2 liter of water) and the rice/steaming insert with cover into the
appliance and start with programme "Suppe" (= soup) at the standard time.
NOTE: Please do not be bothered by the slight, harmless smoke and smell that will be generated
for a short while. Make sure that the room is well-aerated during this time.
After the appliance has cooled down, please clean the heating plate and the inside of the base unit with a
moist cloth. Let it dry thoroghly. For more information, please refer to "Cleaning and maintenance".

Operating the appliance

Attention: Hazard of injury/burns/scalding!
• The surfaces of the appliance, covers, inner lid, cooking pot,
rice/steaming insert and other accessories are getting hot
during use!
• Hot surfaces as well as the contents of the cooking pot are
initially still hot, even after switch-off!
• Be careful when working with hot liquids or food!
• When opening the lid, hot steam or hot water may escape!
• Make sure that the openings of the steam regulator are
always free of soiling and are not blocked and make sure
that the hot steam can escape easily!
• Do never bend over the appliance during operation or when
the appliance is still hot!
