STANDARD factory setting (749/749S) is as follows:
compression: 7 clicks;
rebound: 10 clicks.
Spring preload (A, fig. 37): 20 mm.
Adjustment range (749/749S):
compression: 16 clicks

Spring preload: (A, fig. 37): 10 – 25 mm.
The forks on the 749Dark have a separate hydraulic
damping adjustment:
right leg: compression
left leg: rebound
STANDARD factory setting (749 Dark) is as follows:
compression: 7 clicks (right leg);
rebound: 10 clicks (left leg);
Spring preload: (A, fig. 37): 20mm.
Adjustment range (749 Dark):
compression: 16 clicks (right leg);
rebound: 14 clicks (left leg);

To change the preload of the spring inside each fork leg,
turn the hex. adjusting nut (2, fig. 37) with a 22-mm
hexagon wrench.
Important
Adjust both fork legs to same settings.
